Ethics & Corrections

Our commitment

D2CA reports accurately, independently and fairly. We do not accept payment for coverage, we do not remove accurate articles on request, and we correct errors promptly and visibly.

How corrections work

When we publish something inaccurate, we fix the article and append a dated correction note explaining what was wrong and what changed. The update timestamp on the article changes at the same time. Minor typographical fixes that do not alter meaning are made silently.

Substantive corrections are also reflected in the article's structured data so that aggregators and search engines receive the revised version.

Requesting a correction

Email newsroom@d2ca.org with the article URL, the passage in question and the evidence supporting the change. We aim to acknowledge every request within two business days.

Unpublishing

We do not unpublish articles that were accurate at the time of writing. In rare cases involving legal risk or a serious safety concern, an article may be amended or withdrawn, and a note explaining the action will remain at the original URL.

Complaints

If you are not satisfied with the response from a reporter, you may escalate to the editor using the same address, marking the subject line "Editorial complaint". Complaints are reviewed by someone who was not involved in the original reporting.
