Editorial Policy

This policy sets out the standards that govern all journalism published by D2CA.org. It applies to staff reporters, editors and contributors.

Sourcing and verification

Factual claims must be supported by a document, a named source, or two independent sources with direct knowledge. Anonymity is granted only where a source faces a concrete professional or legal risk, and the reason is stated in the article. Anonymous sources are known to at least one editor.

Right of reply

Any organisation or individual subject to significant critical assertions is contacted for comment before publication and given a reasonable window to respond. Where no response is received, the article says so.

Bylines and datelines

Every article carries the name of a real, identifiable author with a published biography, an ISO-formatted publication timestamp, and an update timestamp where the article has been materially changed after publication.

Conflicts of interest

Staff may not trade in a digital asset they are actively covering, and must disclose material holdings to the editor. Reporters do not accept payment, tokens, allocations, travel or hospitality from companies they cover.

Use of automated tools

D2CA does not publish machine-generated articles. Automated tools may be used for transcription, data processing and on-chain analysis; the resulting output is verified by a journalist, and the reporting and conclusions are the work of the named author.

Advertising separation

Commercial staff have no role in editorial decisions. Sponsored content is visually distinct, labelled at the top of the page, attributed to the sponsor rather than a journalist, and excluded from our RSS and news sitemap feeds.

No investment advice

D2CA publishes journalism and analysis. Nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell any asset.
